About Our Pastor
Biography
Pastor Haynes was raised in a Christian home and, in his home in Hemet, California, at the age of seven, received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Two years after graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he served our country faithfully for six years. In 1995, the Lord called him to preach during a missions conference where he surrendered to the will of God. That surrendering led him, his wife, and his three children to become part of Lancaster Baptist Church and to attend West Coast Baptist College where he graduated in 2001. Upon graduation, God led him to Shadow Mountain Baptist Church where he served as associate pastor for three years. Through the working of the Holy Spirit in the heart of the congregation, God called him to be the senior pastor of the church in September of 2004.
Family
Pastor Haynes and Kami have been married for twenty years. In addition to being a godly wife and mother, Kami is actively involved in the Sunday School and nursery ministries of the church. She also directs the ladies’ fellowships at SMBC and counsels ladies on being the wives and mothers God desires them to be. Pastor and Kami have four children: Ashley, Preston, Austin, and Jenna.
