Elementary School
Shadow Mountain Baptist School is committed to excellence in Christian education. Our goal is to provide your child with the best opportunities to grow and learn. Our faculty members instruct their classes with a wide variety of methods of learning so that your child’s needs are met. Our students are taught in the basic core subjects along with music, art, and physical education. Our goal is to help children understand that God loves them and that their responsibility in life is to honor and glorify Him with what they do and how they act. To meet that goal, each class has a Bible time every day, and we have a combined chapel every other week. Biblical morals and character are taught throughout the day to further reinforce the principles taught in Bible class.
In addition to the spiritual aspect, we also desire to incorporate an exciting learning environment. To accomplish this goal, the teachers use a variety of games and methods to encourage academic excellence. Field trips are planned throughout the year to expose the students to the world around them and to give them hands-on experience in the things they are taught in class. Programs and plays in which the students participate are performed periodically throughout the year, helping them to further develop additional life skills.
